At the reception, Mr. Florian Sengstschmid sincerely thanked Deputy Director Nguyen Thi Hoa Mai for attending and speaking at the seminar introducing Azerbaijan tourism in Hanoi this morning.

The delegation of the Azerbaijan Tourism Agency came to Vietnam this time with the desire to promote and advertise the tourism potential of Azerbaijan to the Vietnamese people. The delegation, together with Azerbaijani tourism and hotel businesses, attended the International Tourism Fair ITE HCMC 2025 held in Ho Chi Minh City in early September.

He shared that Vietnam is a favorite destination for Azerbaijanis, especially for summer beaches with attractive destinations such as Hue, Hoi An, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, etc. Azerbaijanis have a long vacation in March and often travel with their families for 10 days to 2 weeks at this time. Currently, there are no direct flights, so the number of Azerbaijani tourists to Vietnam is still modest.

CEO Florian Sengstschmid proposed to increase the organization of charter flights and wished to organize a business connection session between the two sides to learn about the market, customer characteristics, business needs, and create a long-term connection channel. The organization form could be a workshop, online conference or in person. The Azerbaijan Tourism Agency proposed that the Vietnam National Tourism Administration support the connection with Vietnamese tourism businesses to implement this activity.

Delighted to welcome the delegation of the Azerbaijan Tourism Agency to Vietnam, Deputy Director Nguyen Thi Hoa Mai recognized the great potential for tourist exchange between the two countries and agreed with Azerbaijan's proposals on establishing a cooperative relationship between the two national tourism management agencies, creating opportunities for businesses from both sides to connect. Deputy Director Nguyen Thi Hoa Mai assigned the specialized unit of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration to coordinate the organization of a program connecting businesses from the two countries as soon as possible.

The leader of the International Relations and Tourism Promotion Department (Vietnam National Administration of Tourism) said that it is possible to organize more famtrips between the two sides to explore the tourism potential of the two countries. At the same time, he asked the other side to support and provide more information about the characteristics and needs of Azerbaijani tourists in order to design suitable tourism products.

The two countries have applied the policy of granting each other e-visas with a stay of up to 90 days. This is a favorable condition to promote the exchange of visitors. Most recently, in August 2025, the leaders of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Vietnam had a meeting to discuss measures to promote tourism cooperation. The two sides also encourage tourism businesses to participate in international tourism fairs organized by each side such as the Azerbaijan Tourism and Travel Fair, Baku Tourism Fair, etc.; ITE HCMC Fair, VITM Fair in Vietnam.
