Startup Runway 2025 continues to be a startup launch pad for Da Nang students

This is an important event to inspire the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation among students and the community.

The final round has 11 teams divided into 2 independent groups for high school students (5 teams) and university students (6 teams). These teams are selected from 50 excellent teams of the idea exhibition round.

The Organizing Committee will choose to award 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 1 Third Prize for each competition category, with a total prize value of 250 million VND including cash and scholarships.

Starting in February 2025, the Startup Runway competition consists of 3 rounds: preliminary round, exhibition round and final round. There are 570 contestants registered to participate, forming 158 teams. Of which, 125 teams come from 34 universities and colleges and 33 teams come from 16 high schools.

Besides schools in Da Nang city, the contest also attracts many students from high schools and universities in other localities such as: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Binh , Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An...

Associate Professor Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, Vice Rector of the University of Economics, Danang University (DUE) shared: "Startup Runway has gone through its 9th season. Many student projects in the Startup Runway seasons have won awards at the national and international levels, with products progressing to commercialization and market access.

Many alumni have successfully started businesses in the fields of technology, consumer goods and services, thereby affirming the innovation capacity of the DUE community.

These results show that the entrepreneurial spirit at DUE does not stop at the classroom but has spread into economic and social life."

In addition to the final round of the Startup Runway competition, the Innovation and Startup Festival also included many activities such as: displaying OCOP products and local innovation and creativity products, visiting booths of businesses and alumni; visiting technology booths and the discussion "Innovation in universities: From ideas to market".

On this occasion, the University of Economics signed a memorandum of understanding with 6 businesses and units in the city, aiming to strengthen coordination in start-up and innovation activities.

Launched in 2016, Startup Runway season 9 is jointly organized by the University of Economics, Danang University, the Department of Science and Technology, Danang Youth Union, Danang Young Entrepreneurs Association and Danang Business Incubator.

Contestants have the opportunity to be trained in startups, how to build brand value, business models, capital raising techniques... The teams also have the opportunity to receive detailed, highly applicable comments from coaches from the City's Young Entrepreneurs Association and the Da Nang Business Incubator.
