Sports tournament held in Can Tho on September 2nd holiday will be strictly inspected

(NLDO) - On the occasion of September 2nd, Can Tho City organized a motorbike racing tournament with the competition of 60 athletes from many provinces and cities.

On August 21, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City held a press conference about the first National Motorcycle Championship Cup "Caltex Havoline Cub Prix Cup" in 2025, Stage III.

The tournament is organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City in coordination with the Vietnam Bicycle - Motor Sports Federation and Minh Thi Trading - Service - Construction Company Limited.

This racing tournament has the participation of 60 athletes from clubs from provinces and cities across the country.

Athletes compete in 3 categories: professional category, 4-stroke 150cc; professional category, 2-stroke, YAZ 125cc; amateur category, 2-stroke, SUZUKI Sport 120cc.

Mr. Truong Cong Quoc Viet - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - said that this tournament has new features compared to previous races.

This year's motorcycle race has many new features.

Accordingly, before awarding the prizes, the organizing committee will conduct a strict technical inspection in phase 2 for the engines (vehicles) that achieve first, second, third and fourth place. If there is any violation, the organizing committee will cancel the achievement; at the same time, consider promoting the next ranks for vehicles that meet the regulations.

At the same time, the organizing committee will upgrade the athlete competition system (first place in all systems) from 2026.

The event will take place at 2:00 p.m. on September 2 at Can Tho Stadium.
