To celebrate the important milestones of the nation: 80 years of National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; 80 years of Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security, and also the solemn moment marking 75 years of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China; Vietnam-China Cultural Exchange Year, the art program "Colors of China" was held on the evening of August 3, at Ho Guom Theater.
The art night opened with the dance performance “Carp Jumping Over Dragon Gate – Step by Step Up”. The image of a carp transforming into a dragon is popular in both Vietnamese and Chinese culture as a wish for good luck, conveying the message of the strong friendship between the Vietnamese and Chinese peoples. Artist Dao Nghien Bong led the audience to the image symbolizing the aspiration to rise, a meaningful start.

Throughout the night, the audience enjoyed the flow of culture from ancient to contemporary through concerts such as “Mutual Generation and Response” or “Looking Back - A Thousand Years” performed by artists Trieu Hung, A Dia Luc, and Loi Oanh. The sounds of bamboo flutes, ghijak, tanbur, and Jia Hu ancient bone flutes, one of the oldest musical instruments in China, ignited emotions about the diversity and harmony of Eastern civilization.

One of the interesting crossover performances is the melody of the song "Qua cau gio bay" which shows the influence of Vietnamese folk music in China.

The special highlight of the program was the emotional performances: Artist Do To Hoa (Vietnam) performed the song "On the Field of Hope" in Chinese, in response to that sentiment, artist Pho Nhue (China) performed the lyrics of the song "Remembering Autumn in Hanoi " in Vietnamese.
Along with that, the Vietnam-China song and dance performance combined by artist Khong Khanh Hoc (China) and singer Bao Yen (Vietnam) showed that artists from the two countries had exchanges and shares to connect and blend Vietnamese and Chinese cultures, in the common cultural flow of all humanity for sustainable development.

The program “Colors of China” is not only an opportunity to honor the traditional cultural and artistic values of the two countries and peoples, but also a vivid demonstration of the traditional friendship “both comrades and brothers” between Vietnam and China, through cultural diplomacy activities.
