Sectors, organizations and localities in the province organized many exciting and attractive exchange and sports competitions, creating a joyful and warm atmosphere for people to celebrate the country's major and important holidays.

Director of the Department of Culture and Sports Nguyen Khanh Hiep said: “To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, departments, branches and many localities in the province organized cultural, artistic, physical training and sports activities. The activities took place enthusiastically, widely, suitable to the conditions of each unit and locality, contributing to promoting the implementation of the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", the movement of all people uniting to build a cultural life, improving the physical and mental health of the people, creating a joyful and excited atmosphere towards the important holidays of the country".

Visual propaganda and agitation through banners, billboards, posters, slogans, flags, etc. were urgently and simultaneously deployed in localities. The Provincial Center for Culture and Arts deployed the hanging of 200 vertical banners, 20 horizontal banners, 30 small billboards, 4 large billboards in Rach Gia ward; implemented 56 box banners (decals), 10 billboards, 20 horizontal banners in Long Xuyen ward. Communes, wards, and special zones in the province deployed the hanging of about 4,340 banners, 1,250 billboards, 65,799 colored flags, red flags, cluster flags, fishtail flags, Party flags, national flags, etc. at agency headquarters, bridge points, main roads, and community locations.

The highlight of the series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd is the art program on the evening of September 2nd in wards and special zones such as: Rach Gia, Phu Quoc, Ha Tien, Chau Doc, Long Xuyen. In addition, after the art program, Rach Gia ward and Phu Quoc special zone will also display fireworks; Ha Tien ward will display artistic fireworks to serve the people.

In Rach Gia ward, the art program was elaborately staged, full of emotions, and colorful, bringing a unique art space, with performances such as: Triumphal Song - Fatherland in the heart, Unification song, Party and Fatherland of Vietnam, May remember Uncle Ho, I love Fatherland of Vietnam... After the art program was a special fireworks display that attracted a large number of people. Mr. Le Phuc Hai, a resident of Rach Gia ward, expressed: "The art performances were very good, conveying meaningful messages, spreading cultural and historical values, national pride and love for the homeland and country. The fireworks display also satisfied the viewers. It was worth my family's time to come and watch...".

Director of the Provincial Culture and Arts Center Nguyen Van Dong shared: “The art program is an epic, praising the Party, Uncle Ho, the homeland, the innovative country; the aspiration to rise up of the Party Committee, government and people of An Giang in the period of innovation, integration and development... At the same time, it is a deep gratitude to the previous generations who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland; affirming the aspiration to rise up, to build the homeland and the country to be more and more prosperous and civilized”.

In order to diversify the forms of serving the cultural and sports enjoyment needs of the people, localities in the province organize exciting physical education and sports activities to serve the entertainment needs of the people. Through sports competitions, not only do they create a joyful and exciting atmosphere to celebrate major holidays, but they also contribute to maintaining and developing the physical education and sports movement in the province.
