In late June, we were present at the 273rd Tank Brigade to “witness” a specialized training session. This was a tactical training session with a tank platoon attached to the infantry attacking the enemy defense in the mountainous terrain of Battalion 3.
The situations presented by the unit's leaders and commanders were close to combat reality, suitable for the area and the target of the combat. The infantrymen coordinated smoothly, making good use of the firepower of the attached tank unit to attack and destroy the enemy. During the training, the tank crew members coordinated well, ensuring the right time and absolute safety.

Lieutenant Luong Quang Duc (Battalion 3) said: “We organize training from easy to difficult, close to the conditions of the topic, promoting the sense of responsibility of the officers in the platoon. At the same time, we improve the coordination ability of tank crew members and the ability to proficiently use the weapons in the establishment.”
In 2025, the Corps will make a breakthrough in training with the solution of focusing on improving comprehensive and specialized quality, taking combat practice as the top criterion. The unit will promote training in new, difficult content, close to combat plans, especially focusing on practical training, night training and long-distance maneuvers.
Along with that, the Corps focuses on training soldiers to be proficient in using weapons and equipment in their establishment, improving their ability to coordinate, handle situations and be mobile and ready to fight in all terrain and weather conditions. When training in specialized fields, units require officers and soldiers to have a firm grasp of techniques and tactics; exploit, use and master technical equipment and comply with the conditions of actual shooting exercises.
Each combat team and battery must strictly comply with safety regulations. To improve the quality of training, the Corps has directed agencies and units to always adhere to the motto "Basic, practical, solid" when developing specialized training plans; attach importance to synchronous and specialized training; combine basic training at the unit with field training sessions and drills in different terrains to train soldiers close to actual combat, practice coordination and cooperation.

Before specialized training, the training staff must thoroughly practice the lecture and pass the prescribed levels. Each time the lecture and lesson plan are passed, the staff will be further trained in the method and be imparted with more training experience. On that basis, the training staff will supplement and adjust the content, lesson plan layout and organize teaching methods to suit each subject.
Division 320 is a mechanized infantry unit equipped with modern weapons, capable of rapid mobility and wide combat operations. Colonel Nguyen Trung Hieu, Division Commander of Division 320, said: “The unit focuses on bringing troops closer to real-life situations, enhancing the commander's training inspection of the unit and the agency. At the same time, it focuses on the final inspection of each lesson and session to accurately evaluate the training results.”
In units equipped with strong firepower, the training force is mainly soldiers with good health, good professional qualifications, meeting the requirements of long-distance marches, heavy loads, fast and accurate operations. Especially in the increasingly complex contents of reconnaissance, measurement, and firepower coordination, requiring high physical strength and technical expertise. Therefore, specialized training is always focused on by the units.
Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Sy Dung - Captain of Company 20 (Artillery Brigade 40) shared: “We focus on training soldiers to skillfully exploit the types of weapons and equipment in the establishment, serving measurement, calculation, reconnaissance during training, and combat readiness. Along with that, training soldiers to know how to deceive the enemy, avoid, and fight back. Implementing well the motto "Concentrated firepower, dispersed weapons".
