A restaurant in Pong Drang commune caught fire late at night.

At around 11:00 p.m. on September 13, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Region 2 (under Department PC07, Provincial Police) received a fire report at residential group 14 (Pong Drang commune).

Authorities arrived at the fire scene at residential group 14 (Pong Drang commune).

Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team   Area 2 mobilized 2 fire trucks and 13 officers and soldiers to urgently go to the scene to deploy emergency fire fighting measures.

Leaders of Pong Drang Commune People's Committee were also present at the scene, mobilizing the fire fighting force; directing the police and militia to isolate, extinguish the fire, and remove flammable materials to prevent the fire from spreading to the surrounding area.

With the efforts of the authorities and the people, the fire was completely controlled by 11:40 p.m. the same day. The fire did not cause any human casualties but burned down many properties inside the restaurant. The cause of the fire and the extent of property damage are being verified and clarified by the authorities.
