Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha: Long Thanh Airport's second runway must be completed on time

On the morning of September 7, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha led a Government delegation to conduct a surprise inspection at the construction site of the Long Thanh International Airport Project - Phase 1, one of the country's key century-long projects.

The working group directly surveyed the construction progress of two key items: the second runway construction package and the passenger terminal. In the face of the actual construction, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) and contractors to focus highly, speed up the progress, and ensure the project is basically completed before December 19, 2025, as directed by the Prime Minister. Even though the construction started later, the second runway must still be completed on time.
