On August 12, a representative of Ho Chi Minh City Dermatology Hospital said that recently (August 9-11), a working group from this place visited Tuong Duong Medical Center and Ky Son Medical Center (Nghe An province).
The delegation coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Health Department to provide medical examinations, free medicine and gifts to more than 700 people severely affected by the recent storm and flood.

Doctor Bui The Minh Loi, from the unit's Line Command Department, said that through inspections, many people in the flooded areas of Nghe An were found to have common skin diseases after the flood such as scabies, athlete's foot, skin infections, etc.
Therefore, in addition to examining and providing medicine, the delegation also instructed people on measures to prevent skin diseases, including: Avoid soaking in flood water and dirty water; if forced to come into contact, wear boots and gloves; maintain personal hygiene, especially keeping the fingers and toes dry.
People need to bathe regularly with clean water and soap; disinfect domestic water sources, and properly dispose of waste; when there are signs of skin disease, people need to go to medical facilities for timely examination and treatment.
The above activity demonstrated the spirit of mutual love and responsibility of Ho Chi Minh City Dermatology Hospital in caring for and protecting the health of people in difficult areas after natural disasters.

Similarly, Children's Hospital 2 (HCMC) said that in response to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of HCMC and the HCMC Department of Health, it traveled thousands of kilometers to join a working group to support the Nghe An province health sector in taking care of the health of about 600 people affected by the recent storm Wipha.
The Board of Directors of Children's Hospital 2 directed departments and divisions to carry out the preparation work early. On August 9-11, enthusiastic doctors and nurses brought the mission of white blouse to the people at Tuong Duong and Ky Son Medical Centers (Nghe An).
Here, doctors and nurses from Children's Hospital 2, along with the Ho Chi Minh City medical team, examined, treated and provided free medicine to people, focusing on vulnerable groups such as children, pregnant women and the elderly.
Representative of Children's Hospital 2 - Doctor Bui Trung Hieu - shared that in addition to medical examination, they also guide people on health care measures (especially infectious diseases), as well as donate medicine and medical supplies to the locality.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, the local working group in Nghe An includes 27 doctors, nurses, and environmental engineers from the Oncology Hospital, Ear, Nose, and Throat Hospital, Binh Dan Hospital, Children's Hospital 2, Dermatology Hospital, and Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control.
The delegation departed on August 9, arriving in Thanh Hoa and moving to Nghe An to visit, examine, give free medicine, and disinfect the environment for people in two areas directly affected by storm Wipha: Tuong Duong and Ky Son.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City also supported 600 gifts (worth 180 million VND) for the Working Group to give directly to local people.
