On the morning of September 6, Mr. Le Tien Manh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ia Pa commune, Gia Lai province, said that the overflow culvert of Mo Nang 2 village (Ia Pa commune) continued to be flooded.
According to Mr. Le Tien Manh, on the evening of September 5, there was a prolonged heavy rain in the area. At 6:00 a.m. on September 6, the water rose and flooded Mo Nang 2 village. The water was 1.5 meters deep at the overflow, cutting off the road leading to the village, isolating 341 households in the village. At the scene, the overflow area had strong water flows, creating white foam. People gathered at both ends of the overflow to monitor.

This morning, to ensure safety, the commune directed the police force to block both ends of the tunnel, not allowing people to pass through. At the same time, the village was required to closely monitor the lives of the people, if there is a need for necessities, the commune must be informed so that timely supplies can be provided. In case of serious illness, the people will be taken to the emergency room immediately.

Earlier, at noon on August 29, due to heavy rain, the culvert was flooded, causing rocks and soil to slide away, isolating the villagers. After the water receded, the commune mobilized more than 50 people to level and reinforce the culvert to clear the route. However, the culvert that had just been reinforced was now flooded again.
