According to the Russian Defense Ministry, 24 Ukrainian drones were destroyed in the territories of Moscow, Tula, Kaluga, Bryansk and Smolensk in the past 24 hours.

The statement said Russian air defense forces also intercepted 53 Ukrainian UAVs during the same period in Russian-controlled regions, including Kharkiv, Kherson, Donetsk and Luhansk.

“Seventeen HIMARS MLRS (multiple launch rocket systems) projectiles have been intercepted in the past 24 hours,” the Russian Defense Ministry added. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said no injuries or damage had been reported from the debris from the intercepted UAVs.

In Russia's Tula region, one of the drones crashed into an apartment building, damaging windows and slightly injuring one person, Tula Governor Alexey Dyumin said.

According to the Russian-appointed head of the Donetsk region, Denis Pushilin, an attack on the province damaged the power system and left many areas in the region without electricity overnight.

Russia's Defense Ministry also said on Sunday that its air defenses destroyed two Ukrainian S-200 missiles over the Sea of Azov at around 11 a.m. Moscow time on Sunday.

Earlier, the Ukrainian air force said it had intercepted 71 Shahed drones across six regions of Ukraine, with the majority over Kiev. The statement described the Russian attack as involving a “record number” of drones.
