Simple and cozy opening ceremony
In a remote area, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien, head teacher of grade 1 at Tra Van Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities in village 6B, Tra Van commune (Da Nang city) said that she had come to the school 2 weeks ago to prepare for the new school year. This is a school far from the center with 35 students in grades 1 and 2, and the road to get there is extremely difficult.
This school year, she was assigned to be the homeroom teacher of grade 1. A few days ago, teachers and volunteers came to help clean and decorate the classroom with many flags and flowers, creating an exciting atmosphere for students on the first day of school.

Ms. Lien shared that this is a difficult area with many shortages, so the teachers and students plan to organize a simple and cozy opening ceremony with the participation of all students, some teachers and parents. The students are told to wear nice uniforms and perform on the first day of school.
Mr. Nguyen Khac Diep, Principal of Tra Van Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Da Nang) shared that in addition to the main school in the center, the school has 3 additional satellite schools to welcome young students from villages with difficult roads.

The nearest school is 7 kilometers from the center, and the farthest one takes teachers about 3 hours to walk to.

However, to create an atmosphere for students, every year the school directs teachers and students to organize a simple but full opening ceremony including: saluting the flag, singing the national anthem, and organizing folk games for the students to enjoy.
