Fire burns down many motorbikes in a store in Ca Mau, suspected to be caused by an electrical short circuit

A fire, suspected to have been caused by an electrical short circuit, burned down many motorbikes at the Nam Binh 2 motorbike shop in Thoi Binh district, Ca Mau province.

On the afternoon of December 31, a leader of the People's Committee of Thoi Binh town, Thoi Binh district, Ca Mau province said that a fire had just occurred at a motorbike shop.

"The fire has been basically extinguished, and authorities are calculating the damage," said the leader of Thoi Binh town People's Committee.

According to initial information, at around 1:25 p.m. the same day, Nam Binh 2 motorbike shop suddenly caught fire with a column of black smoke dozens of meters high.

Authorities arrived at the scene and the fire was extinguished within 25 minutes. The fire destroyed many of the store’s motorbikes, with no casualties.

The initial cause of the fire was determined to be an electrical short circuit.
