The "Healthy Me" project helps students of Olympia High School ( Hanoi ) to be aware of and form healthy nutritional habits.

After three seasons of implementation in Vietnam, with a series of highly applicable projects, the Program has been promoting small but meaningful changes in the school environment, where students gradually form healthy and positive living habits every day.

Students are at the heart of change

With the philosophy of "Putting students at the center of change", the AIA Healthiest Schools program is not only a playground for students, but also an activity to promote schools to organize comprehensiveeducation , orienting students to develop physically, mentally and socially. By empowering students to take control of their learning journey, build positive living habits and contribute to improving the living environment, the program has gradually become a creative space where each student can design, implement and spread healthy and happy living ideas to the community.

“AIA Healthiest Schools is a very meaningful program. Not only does it serve as a competition, the program also motivates and encourages schools to build healthy school models with specific guidance documents. At the same time, the program also creates conditions for some schools to access more valuable and useful educational resources on school health. ” - Ms. Huyen Luong, Member of the Jury of AIA Healthiest Schools Season 3 shared.

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Binh, who is also a member of the AIA Healthiest Schools Jury for three consecutive seasons, said, “ The program is contributing to building a comprehensive learning environment in countries like Vietnam – where learning is still theoretical. I feel honored to have accompanied AIA Healthiest Schools for many years and hope that the program will continue to expand to public schools in remote areas.”

The journey of sowing healthy seeds in the classroom

Since its launch, AIA Healthiest Schools has been designed as a playground to promote schools to build a comprehensive education model and healthy living habits through four pillars: Nutrition, Exercise, Mental Health and Environmental Sustainability. More than a competition, the Program paves the way for a positive school ecosystem – where both teachers and students build a sustainable learning environment right at their own schools.

Through the power of education, the AIA Healthiest Schools program aims to promote healthy living activities in young people from an early age and bring about lasting changes to improve the mental and physical health of future generations.” – AIA Vietnam representative shared.

Teachers act as guides, connecting and inspiring students' initiative, transforming the classroom from a place of knowledge acquisition into a multidimensional learning community.

What I appreciate most about the AIA Healthiest Schools program is how the program opens up the role of students in the change process. Students are not only beneficiaries, but also become the subjects of initiatives, actions and inspiration for the community.” – Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen, representative of the Board of Judges for 3 consecutive seasons of AIA Healthiest Schools said.

According to Ms. Huyen, letting students proactively shape healthy living activities and accompanying teachers and parents in each project is the key to creating real and sustainable changes in today's educational environment.

Na Sang Primary Boarding School No. 1 ( Dien Bien ) was honored as the champion of the AIA Healthiest School program season 2.

Proposal to replicate and integrate the model into practice

After three seasons of implementation, the program has shown its effectiveness and practical applicability. Many schools have begun to integrate activities from the program into their extracurricular programs, school clubs, or thematic festivals.

Experts believe that, with its flexibility and practicality, this model can be completely referenced to build and develop formal training programs, oriented to support students' comprehensive development not only in terms of intelligence but also in terms of physical, mental and personality. That journey will continue to be written in the 4th season (school year 2025-2026), with the hope of spreading the model to more schools, contributing to building a generation of healthy, confident and ambitious Vietnamese students.
