According to the traffic organization plan that the My Thuan Project Management Board, the investor, has just submitted to the Ministry of Construction , Nhon Trach Bridge will be temporarily exploited as an urban road in the first phase (from August 2025 to December 2026), and will only be put into operation according to expressway standards after other connecting sections are completed.

Nhon Trach Bridge has a total length of more than 8.2 km, spanning the Dong Nai River, belonging to Component Project 1A, Tan Van - Nhon Trach section, using ODA loan from Korea (EDCF) and domestic counterpart capital. Currently, the project has reached more than 95% of the volume and is expected to be completed in June 2025.

Cầu Nhơn Trạch sẽ được khai thác theo hai giai đoạn, bắt đầu từ tháng 8/2025

Nhon Trach Bridge will be exploited in two phases, starting from August 2025.

The two phases of operation are specifically divided. Phase 1 (from August 2025 to December 2026): In the first phase, Nhon Trach Bridge and the access road will be operated as an urban road, allowing the circulation of both cars and two- and three-wheeled vehicles depending on each section. On the Dong Nai side, traffic will be organized with one lane for cars and one mixed lane, running from DT.25B road to Ly Tu Trong road, motorbikes are not allowed to circulate on Nhon Trach Bridge.

From Ho Chi Minh City, cars will be arranged to move from Nhon Trach Bridge, turn around through the connecting branches before entering the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway. Container trucks and trailers are temporarily not allowed to travel through the bridge because the turning points do not meet technical requirements.

Phase 2 (after December 2026), when the connecting sections are completed, the entire route will be operated according to expressway standards. Nhon Trach Bridge will organize traffic with two lanes for motor vehicles and two mixed lanes, with a clear median strip between the lanes to ensure safety for vehicles.

Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 is a national key project, passing through 4 provinces and cities including Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Long An with a total length of more than 90 km. To date, the 15.3 km section through Binh Duong has been completed. Together with Component Project 1A (Nhon Trach Bridge), the remaining 76 km is being implemented with a total capital of nearly 75,400 billion VND.

It is expected that the entire Ring Road 3 route will be completed in 2026, opening up a traffic axis connecting Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of the Southern Key Economic Zone, contributing to promoting socio-economic development and relieving existing urban traffic pressure.
