Hung Yen strengthens management of extra teaching and learning

On September 11, a representative of the Hung Yen Department of Education and Training said that the Department has just issued a document on strengthening the management of extra teaching and learning at the primary level.

Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen requires primary education institutions to strictly implement the regulations on extra teaching and learning stipulated in Circular 29 of the Ministry of Education and Training ; strictly prohibits the organization of extra teaching and learning in any form for primary school students, except for cases of training in arts, sports, and life skills training.

Heads of educational institutions must strengthen management and inspection of their teachers to ensure strict implementation of regulations on extra teaching and learning, and at the same time, be responsible to the Department of Education and Training if teachers violate regulations on extra teaching and learning.

In addition, the Department requires educational institutions to focus on improving the quality of official school hours and the quality of comprehensive educational activities for students when implementing 2-session teaching/day for primary school level.

Select teaching content and educational activities that ensure knowledge, are suitable for the psychology and health of primary school students; minimize ineffective online competitions to avoid putting pressure on students and their parents.

The Department of Education and Training also requested the People's Committees of communes and wards to strengthen the management of extra teaching and learning activities in the area, especially for centers that organize extra teaching and learning. Handle or recommend to competent authorities to handle primary school teachers who violate regulations.

"In the coming time, the Department will strengthen inspection and strictly handle violations of regulations on extra teaching and learning," added a representative of the Hung Yen Department of Education and Training.
