On September 12, a working delegation from the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An province led by Mr. Thai Van Thanh - Director of the Department visited Trung Phuc Cuong 2 Primary School, Thien Nhan Commune, Nghe An to listen to opinions from parents, schools, and localities about the school merger.
Upon hearing the news that the Department of Education and Training had returned to the locality, many parents were present and expressed their joy at the department's decision to request the Thien Nhan commune government to temporarily suspend the school merger.
"We couldn't bear to let our children miss school for the past few days. But we had to transfer them to the main school so quickly, and the roads were potentially dangerous," said Ms. Tran Thi Thanh, a resident of Nam Phuc hamlet (old).
At the meeting with the locality, after surveying both schools, Mr. Thai Van Thanh - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An province - assessed the goal of merging schools to focus resources on investing in facilities and improving the quality of education. However, the merger must have the consent of parents.
"For the time being this school year, the school will continue to maintain the remote location to stabilize teaching and learning.
For extracurricular activities, foreign language and computer classes, the school needs to inform parents of the schedule to ensure harmony," said Mr. Thanh.
Some teaching equipment and desks have been moved from the remote location to the main location. Mr. Thanh suggested that the school move them back and welcome students back to school as usual from September 15. At the same time, teachers have plans to make up for the students who have been absent from school for the past few days.

Many parents joined hands with the school to clean up and sanitize the environment at the remote locations. On the morning of September 12, many students from Nam Phuc commune (old) were also taken to school by their parents.
As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , after the opening ceremony of the new school year 2025-2026, many parents of students at Trung Phuc Cuong 2 Primary School, Thien Nhan Commune, requested the local authorities and the school to open schools at separate locations for students to attend.
People do not agree with the school merger because they think that if the schools are merged into the main campus, it will make picking up and dropping off children difficult and the roads will be potentially dangerous.
