Father and son rescued after a night drifting at sea

On the morning of July 31, Lieutenant Colonel Doan Duc Long, Chief of Lach Ken Border Guard Station (Ha Tinh Provincial Border Guard Command) said that the father and son who were swept away by waves and lost contact at sea in Ha Tinh were rescued safely.

Previously, at around 8:15 p.m. on July 30, after receiving a report that on the Xuan Thanh coast (Tien Dien commune, Ha Tinh province), there were two tourists , father and daughter Nguyen TT (born in 1990, residing in Truong Vinh ward, Nghe An province) and daughter Nguyen TPA (born in 2019) on a small boat, wearing life jackets, suddenly being blown away by strong winds and big waves, they lost contact.

Lach Ken Border Guard Station and local authorities and functional forces searched through the night.

Immediately afterwards, Lach Ken Border Guard Station quickly mobilized 12 officers, soldiers and vehicles to the scene, coordinating with local authorities and people to conduct search and rescue operations throughout the night.

At around 6:30 a.m. on July 31, crew members on the transport ship VINASINE 555 - QN: 8425 on its journey from Ninh Binh to Dung Quat discovered and promptly approached, saving the lives of Mr. T. and his son. Currently, the health of both Mr. T. and his son is stable.

Authorities are sending a ship to receive and bring the father and son ashore.
