Against the 154th ranked opponent in the world , Norway quickly proved their superiority by pouring 11 goals into the opponent's net. This was the first time in 56 years that fans witnessed a World Cup qualifying match in the European zone with 12 goals. In 1969, Germany crushed Cyprus with a score of 12-0.

In the 6th minute, Erling Haaland approached the goal and then passed the ball across the goal for Felix Myhre to create an interception point, opening the score. Just 5 minutes later, Haaland put his name on the scoreboard with a simple shot from close range, after a careless pass from the Moldovan defender.

Facing Moldova's weak resistance, Haaland completed his hat-trick with two goals in the 36th and 43rd minutes. The away team's defense was completely helpless in the race with the Norwegian striker. Haaland also showed impressive finishing ability. His third goal came from a technical move, sending the ball over the head of the goalkeeper and two Moldovan defenders.

Haaland received 10 points after a brilliant performance.

Martin Odegaard also had an impressive day. After assisting Haaland twice, the Arsenal captain also scored to raise the score to 5-0 for the home team in the 45+1 minute.

Right at the beginning of the second half, Haaland scored his fourth goal from a header, bringing the score to 6-0 for Norway.

In the rest of the match, midfielder Thelo Aasgaard made his mark with a poker (4 goals). In the 83rd minute, Haaland completed the "little hand" after an assist from Julian Ryerson.

The striker born in 2000 created unbelievable statistics, when he scored 48 goals after only 43 starts for the Norwegian national team. In the last 14 appearances, Haaland scored 21 goals.

All the visitors got was an own goal scored by defender Leo Ostigard in the 74th minute.

The 11-1 away win helped Norway solidify their position at the top of Group I with 15 points, six points ahead of Italy and having played one more game. If he maintains his current form, Haaland can dream of his first major tournament with the national team.
