Recently, search giant Google said that the Bard chatbot will be updated with some new features such as comparing answers and analyzing user personal data, to compete with ChatGPT in terms of popularity.

ChatGPT is a chatbot developed by OpenAI, a startup backed by tech giant Microsoft, which has created a race to integrate generative AI into products and services across the tech industry.
At the time of its launch, ChatGPT was the fastest growing consumer application in the history of the Internet and is currently among the top 30 most popular websites in the world .
Meanwhile, Bard has not had the same strong growth as its rival. According to analytics firm Similiarweb, by the end of August 2023, Google's chatbot had only 183 million visits, equal to 13% of OpenAI's ChatGPT.
To close the gap with other AI competitors, Google is releasing extensions for Bard AI that allow users to import their data across apps, including products within the Google ecosystem. For example, customers can ask Bard to search for documents in Google Drive, or to summarize their inbox in Gmail.
Google senior product manager Jack Krawczyk said that currently, users of the AI chatbot Bard can only get data between Google apps, but the company is working with other outside companies to connect their apps to this chatbot in the future.
In addition, another new feature will be updated on Bard to help reduce the “illusion” problem that large language models often encounter. “Illusion” is a term that refers to inaccurate responses, or “fabricated” by AI. Accordingly, Bard users can see whether the content that this chatbot answers is similar or different from Google search results.
Finally, the third new feature on Google Bard is that it allows users to invite others to join the conversation with the AI chatbot.
