King 6 sticky rice variety for high profit

In the spring crop of 2025, the King 6 sticky rice growing model brought higher economic efficiency than the control rice variety.

King 6 sticky rice variety has a yield nearly 4.4 quintals/ha higher than the control sticky rice variety 415.

In the spring crop of 2025, the Center for Application of Science - Technology and Innovation (Department of Science and Technology) will build a model of growing King 6 sticky rice variety on a scale of 25 hectares in two communes: Dinh Son (Cam Giang) and Quoc Tuan (Nam Sach). This rice variety is provided by ADI Agricultural Development and Trade Investment Joint Stock Company (Hoang Mai, Hanoi).

The outstanding advantage of King 6 sticky rice variety compared to the control variety (sticky rice 415) is its good resistance to many types of pests and diseases.

The results of the field test show that, compared to the control rice variety 415, King 6 glutinous rice has the outstanding advantage of being resistant to many major pests and diseases. In the weather conditions of the spring crop of 2025, the control rice variety 415 glutinous rice was severely affected by leaf blast, and households had to spray 2-3 times/crop to prevent it. In contrast, King 6 glutinous rice variety was not infected with leaf blast, neck blast, or leaf blight.

Some other indicators such as total number of grains per panicle, number of solid grains per panicle, and weight of 1,000 grains of King 6 sticky rice variety are all higher than that of the control variety. The yield of King 6 sticky rice variety is on average 68.2 quintals/ha, nearly 4.4 quintals/ha higher than that of the control variety.

King 6 sticky rice variety has relatively good resistance to lodging in heavy rain and wind. In the photo: After the heavy rain and wind in the evening and night of June 15, not many trees fell (photo taken on the morning of June 16).

King 6 sticky rice variety also has good lodging resistance, ensuring productivity during storms.

King 6 sticky rice variety gives higher profit of over 6 million VND/ha compared to the control variety.

Evaluating economic efficiency in the 2025 spring crop, King 6 sticky rice variety helps farmers earn more than 6 million VND/ha higher profit than the control rice variety.
