In the coming days, domestic pepper prices are expected to continue to fluctuate between 136,000 - 138,500 VND/kg. The main reason is that supply and demand are in a state of balance, making it difficult for the market to have major fluctuations in a short time.
In the medium term, pepper prices may receive support if export activities accelerate towards the end of the year along with clear signs of recovery from the international market. Experts recommend that farmers closely monitor market developments and choose the right time to sell, avoiding the situation of selling massively when prices have not really increased sharply.
According to the latest report of VPSA, global pepper production in 2025 is expected to decrease by 7.8% compared to 2024. This is the third consecutive year of decline in production. Although Brazil recorded an increase in production, this was not enough to offset the sharp decline in other major producing countries, especially India and Indonesia. This situation caused the total global production to continue to decline compared to the previous year.
