In the Southwest and Southeast regions, the price of selected RI6 durian ranges from 45,000 - 60,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. The price of RI6 purchased in bulk remains at 25,000 - 28,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, the price of selected Thai durian remains at 76,000 - 84,000 VND/kg, while the price of purchased in bulk ranges from 45,000 - 48,000 VND/kg.
In the Central Highlands, especially in Dak Lak and Gia Lai, due to the impact of the weather, many RI6 durian gardens are experiencing waterlogging, making the quality unsatisfactory. The price of RI6 here is currently only 44,000 - 46,000 VND/kg for the selected type, and 25,000 - 28,000 VND/kg for the bucket type. Particularly, the price of the beautiful Thai durian is still at 80,000 - 82,000 VND/kg, and the bucket type is around 40,000 - 42,000 VND/kg.
Traders said that the dry condition caused by prolonged heavy rains was the main reason why durian prices in some regions had difficulty recovering strongly this week. Although production remains good, inconsistent quality has led to more selective purchasing demand.
