Gia Phu plants trees to cover bare land and hills

On the morning of September 13, at the historical site of the resistance war against the French in Ban Nhot forest, the People's Committee of Gia Phu commune organized a tree planting campaign to green bare land and hills.

Units give money to support tree planting in Gia Phu commune.

During this period, Gia Phu commune mobilized 7,000 Bat Do bamboo shoots, providing them to 13 households in Hien Giang, Suoi Cay, Nhot 1, Nhot 2 and Na Mac villages. Households were also supported with fertilizers, care techniques and product output. This is an important step to turn Bat Do bamboo shoots into a key commodity crop, linking economic development with ecological environmental protection.

In the coming time, Gia Phu Commune People's Committee aims to plant 10,000 new bamboo shoots, forming a concentrated raw material area, creating sustainable livelihoods for the people.
