On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, on August 24, Comrade Mai Van Tuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council visited and presented gifts to veteran revolutionary cadres in Tam Diep city and Ninh Binh city.
Also attending were leaders of Tam Diep City Party Committee, Ninh Binh City Party Committee and Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.
The delegation visited and presented gifts to veteran revolutionary cadres: Nguyen Thi Tanh, born in 1928, in Trung Son ward (Tam Diep city) and Nguyen Manh Than, born in 1925, in Tan Thanh ward (Ninh Binh city). They all participated in the revolution very early. Currently, despite their advanced age, they are still clear-headed, agile, and live happily under the attentive care of their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

At the places he visited, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Mai Van Tuat kindly asked about the health and living conditions of the elders and their families. At the same time, he wished the elders good health and longevity, always being a spiritual support, encouraging their children and grandchildren to promote the revolutionary tradition of their family and hometown to study hard, work well, and actively participate in local emulation movements.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that caring for families of policy beneficiaries and people with revolutionary contributions is a fine tradition and morality of our nation, as well as the sentiment and responsibility of all people.
He also suggested that all levels, sectors and localities should regularly pay attention to and better implement the Party and State's policies towards families of people with revolutionary contributions, demonstrating the nation's morality of "When drinking water, remember its source".
