Controversy over use of banned substances
In recent days, social networks have seen a clip of streamer Do Mixi smoking shisha with friends.
The National Assembly has officially passed Resolution 173/2024/QH15 officially banning e-cigarettes, heated tobacco products, shisha and laughing gas, effective from January 1.
Specifically, the National Assembly agreed to ban the production, trading, import, storage, transportation, and use of electronic cigarettes, heated tobacco products, gases, and addictive substances that are harmful to human health, ensuring public health, social order and safety; and assigned the Government to organize specific implementation.
Along with that, promote propaganda work, raise awareness among people, especially young people and teenagers, about the harmful effects of alcohol, beer, cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, heated tobacco, gases, and addictive substances that are harmful to human health.
Therefore, the discovery of Do Mixi using shisha caused great controversy.
On the evening of September 4, he livestreamed an official response to the incident. Not long ago, he, Spanish player Gerard Pique and some friends gathered to drink beer in Hanoi . After getting a little drunk, they went to a bar, ordered and used shisha.

"In my subconscious, I only had the impression that e-cigarettes and 'laughing gas' were banned, and I even filmed a clip throwing those things into the trash. I was completely unaware that smoking shisha was against the law. Therefore, I innocently smoked shisha, swaying to the music without anyone reminding me," Do Mixi recalled.
I apologize to those who felt disappointed when reading the news "Do Mixi smokes shisha" and those who were affected by me.
Do Mixi understands that feeling because he himself is "very disappointed in himself for making an unacceptable stupid mistake". The streamer emphasized "there is no reason to steal that thing to trade your career".
"Swearing like it's everyday" is still on TV
Before the shisha smoking clip was leaked, streamer Do Mixi had long been criticized for "swearing and cursing like eating and drinking" on livestream, despite the fact that online platforms are places where diverse viewers gather, including children and minors.
According to the reporter's research, Do Mixi still maintains this style in his most recent livestreams.
Even when apologizing for smoking shisha, in less than 2 minutes of presentation, the male streamer cursed 14 times.
In the past, Do Mixi worked as a streamer only in the video game industry with a somewhat limited viewership.
However, in recent years, he has acted as a celebrity, with products that clearly show he is aimed at a mass audience.

Specifically, he released a series of MVs such as Toc ca, Stream den bao gio, Do Toc 2 ; organized tournaments and live shows gathering many famous artists; participated in TV shows such as Sao nhap ngu, Mai am gia dinh Viet .
Currently, the streamer is also participating in the program Sao nhap ngu 2025, elected as team captain by a group of male artists.
It is unacceptable that Do Mixi, who acts as a celebrity but still wants to maintain his "style and true self" as a video game streamer.
On social networks, posts about Do Mixi attract thousands to tens of thousands of interactions.
"I watched this guy live for a few minutes and couldn't stand it, I had to turn it off because the intensity of his swearing was scary. And what's even scarier is that his young fans consider it normal," said a comment with 1,200 likes.
Need to remove the image, strictly correct
Do Mixi's apology and swearing did not really appease netizens' reactions.

On September 5, reporters noted that a group of internet users went to the Sao nhap ngu fanpage to criticize Do Mixi, asking the producers to cut the streamer's image from the show.
Most opinions agree that Do Mixi - who uses shisha and swears "like eating rice and drinking water" - is not suitable to appear on television, to avoid becoming a bad example for young people, especially on a military program like Sao Nhap Ngu .
Besides, Do Mixi needs to strictly correct his words and behavior while working as a celebrity and making money through his image.
There is no reason to accept him as an exception when artists in showbiz must comply with their responsibilities to the community.
When contacted by reporters, the producer of Sao Nhap Ngu said he was aware of the incident but had not yet given an official response. Meanwhile, the Sao Nhap Ngu fanpage took action to hide/delete a post with Do Mixi's personal photo 2 days ago.
