The "virtual rock" check-in point in Dong Van Stone Plateau temporarily stops receiving visitors to upgrade infrastructure

The People's Committee of Dong Van Commune ( Tuyen Quang Province) has just announced the temporary suspension of receiving visitors at the "death rock" area, a famous check-in point on the Dong Van Stone Plateau, from now until the end of September 16.

During this time, the entire concrete road from the Youth Volunteer Monument to the cliff and surrounding paths will be closed for construction.

Mr. Pham Duc Nam, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Van Commune, Tuyen Quang Province, said that the temporary suspension of tourism is to renovate infrastructure, install railings and arrange stone fences, both to beautify the landscape and ensure safety for tourists.

During the construction period, tourists are advised not to enter this area to avoid danger. After completion, the commune government will announce the reopening.

The People's Committee of Dong Van Commune requests organizations and individuals to strictly comply with the notice. If there is intentional violation and an incident occurs, the individual or unit involved will be held responsible.

Before officially closing for construction, Dong Van commune mobilized local forces, coordinated with mass organizations to prepare the ground, and reinforced dangerous locations along the road to the cliff.

Items such as stone fences, path repair, cleaning... are also implemented synchronously, ensuring safety for visitors while creating a clean and beautiful landscape, in harmony with the typical cultural space of the stone plateau.

"Death Rock", also known by the backpacker community as "virtual rock", is precariously located between rocky mountains, offering breathtaking views and unique shooting angles.

Mr. Pham Duc Nam added that this is a destination that attracts a large number of domestic and foreign tourists, especially tourists from European countries who love to explore wild nature and experience thrills.

Many international bloggers and photographers have shared check-in photos here, contributing to spreading the majestic beauty of Ha Giang Karst Plateau Global Geopark on social networking platforms.

Tourists often ride motorbikes to the cliff area, then climb about 30-40 meters on a steep, rocky and quite slippery road.

According to locals, this rock was formed from a large rock that fell from a high mountainside, weathering over many years.

Thanks to its special location and majestic landscape, this place has become an unmissable stop when exploring the wild beauty of the northernmost point of the Fatherland./.
