After examination, the doctor determined that this was a severe anaphylactic shock condition, urgently treated the shock and provided respiratory support. After 30 minutes of intensive resuscitation, the patient gradually regained consciousness, blood pressure stabilized, and difficulty breathing decreased.

In addition to being treated for anaphylactic shock, baby D. was also treated with a combination of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, pain relievers, antihistamines, and tetanus antitoxin injections... After 12 hours of treatment, the patient's vital signs were stable and he was transferred to the Cardiology Department for further treatment of the inflammation and swelling caused by the scorpion bite.

Through the above case, doctors at Can Tho Children's Hospital recommend that when children are bitten by scorpions or venomous insects, after disinfecting the wound, they should be taken to the nearest hospital for examination and timely treatment to avoid causing unpredictable complications.
