General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security, chaired the ceremony.
In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation observed a minute of silence to express deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs of the People's Public Security who fought for the cause of national liberation and reunification.

Also on July 20, General Luong Tam Quang and his delegation visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Nhon, born in 1920, in Group 9, An Tuong Ward, Tuyen Quang Province.
Mother Nguyen Thi Nhon had her only son sacrificed in the resistance war against the US to save the country. Minister Luong Tam Quang and leaders of Tuyen Quang province kindly visited her health, encouraged her spirit and expressed deep gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of the mother and her family for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
General Luong Tam Quang sent his regards and presented gifts from the Ministry of Public Security to the policy families; expressed his appreciation for the contributions and dedication of the comrades to the revolutionary cause in general and the people's public security force in particular.

General Luong Tam Quang hopes that families will always encourage and educate their children to be proud of the tradition of the People's Public Security Force, continue to uphold the revolutionary tradition, and be worthy of the fine traditions of previous generations.
On the same afternoon, the delegation of the Ministry of Public Security attended the inauguration of temporary housing projects and visited the families of wounded police officers in Tuyen Quang province.
