Dak Nong exceeds vocational training and employment targets

Vocational training for 8,566 people

In early 2024, Dak Nong set a target of vocational training for 4,000 people in 2024. As a result, Dak Nong has far exceeded the original plan in vocational training. During the year, the province provided vocational training for 8,566 people, reaching over 214% of the plan; reaching 100.8% compared to the same period in 2023.

During the year, 379 people were trained at intermediate and college levels. At elementary level and under 3 months, 8,187 people were trained in vocational training, mainly car driving training in the form of socialization.

This is an impressive result and far exceeds the set target, contributing to creating a skilled workforce to meet the needs of economic and social development in the coming time.

To achieve this result, an important contribution is that Dak Nong has a system of vocational training facilities that are organized and distributed reasonably in districts and cities.

Dak Nong currently has 19 establishments and units participating in vocational education activities, including: Dak Nong Community College, Phuong Nam Economic - Technical College; 4 vocational education centers; 13 establishments with the function of vocational education activities from intermediate, elementary levels, and regular training under 3 months.

Over 19,759 people were employed

Dak Nong has made its mark in creating jobs for workers. In 2024, the province set a target of creating jobs for 18,300 people. The result was that the total number of workers created jobs was over 19,759, reaching 108% of the plan.

Of which, the number of workers who were employed domestically was 19,249. Dak Nong has over 510 workers working abroad for a limited period, mainly in the markets of Japan, Taiwan, and Korea. This not only helps to solve employment but also increases income and creates opportunities for learning and experience for workers.

Dak Nong Community College invests in machinery to improve vocational training quality

A bright spot in the job creation work is the support for loans to create jobs from the National Employment Fund and the provincial budget. In 2024, the province approved loans for 2,442 projects with a total amount of 139 billion VND, supporting job creation for more than 2,500 workers. This is an important resource to help people, especially poor households, have the opportunity to develop their family economy and stabilize their lives.
