Sea-forest convergence in new development space

(GLO)- When merging the two provinces of Binh Dinh and Gia Lai, the Government certainly took into account the inherent strengths of each province, and how they would develop after the merger.

And the merger of two provinces with many outstanding advantages that complement each other towards perfection opens a new era of development, bringing Gia Lai to develop quickly and sustainably, reaching regional and national levels.

I am very familiar with Binh Dinh province (old) because I lived there for 10 years, and Gia Lai (old) I only go to occasionally but have collaborated with Gia Lai Newspaper for many years.

Those who know about the geography of these two provinces, when merging, will immediately think of Highway 19. That is the first advantage for both provinces in economic development and national defense.

The Quy Nhon-Pleiku Expressway is also being urgently deployed, a national highway connecting the vast ocean of Tay Son lower region with the mountainous upper region of Tay Son, and thereby connecting the sea and forest with the vast Central Highlands, where industrial products such as coffee, pepper, and fruit trees will be exported through Quy Nhon Port - one of the largest and most dynamic seaports in the country.

Gia Lai province (new) has a large land area, not a large population, so there is still a lot of room for agricultural and industrial crop development. Binh Dinh has a very long coastline, seafood is a strength, so supplying marine products to the Central Highlands through Highway 19 is very convenient. In the vast western region, there are many farms and ranches with tens of hectares of area, farmers skillfully apply science and technology, new technology.

I know more about the Eastern Gia Lai region. And let me say right away that Quy Nhon's great strength is tourism, this is probably one of the most livable cities in our country.

It's hard to compare, but if you come here a few times, you'll discover something interesting - it seems like everywhere you turn is beautiful, and you want to take souvenir photos everywhere.

I am different, I lived here for 10 years, I have returned many times and have seen how this city has transformed and grown. The great thing is that through many generations of leaders, this land still retains its soul. And when it comes to cultural sediments, the layers of this land in the Central region are probably second only to Hue, the rest are not inferior to anyone. Now, if we add a part of the mighty Central Highlands, isn't it even richer?

Speaking of tourism in Quy Nhon, we should not only talk about 4-star and 5-star hotels, large and modern entertainment venues serving tourists, which can be done with money, but also about the singing, dancing, and colors of Tuong (please allow me to emphasize this), about the heritage Bai Choi tune; about the hometown specialties of Binh Dinh such as Banh It La Gai, Nem Cho Huyen, Chau Truc lagoon eel... Those small specialties have contributed to creating a warm and impressive Binh Dinh, a tourist Quy Nhon.

Quy Nhon tourism model can help Pleiku a lot when the province just develops tourism in this urban area. Pleiku is a place with very cool and pleasant weather, the urban area has many trees, especially the rows of ancient pine trees in the city, making tourists satisfied when choosing this place to relax.

Quy Nhon is a coastal city, Pleiku is a mountainous city, and Highway 19 connects these two tourist cities, creating a very special advantage for the (new) Gia Lai province. Not to mention, there are other tourist areas on the outskirts of Quy Nhon and Pleiku that are also very developed, attracting a lot of tourists.

Quy Nhon city and Binh Dinh province (old) have done very well in planning for many years, so the new Gia Lai province can rely on that to develop the planning of the two cities and the entire suburbs and rural areas very conveniently.

Quy Nhon is on the way to becoming a high-tech center, where science and technology are given the best conditions to develop. With the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education - ICISE in Quy Hoa, Quy Nhon has been a place that attracts the world's leading scientists to come here every year to hold seminars and announce new discoveries and innovations. Therefore, Quy Nhon is not only a high-tech center, but also a center of basic science and innovation of international stature, known to the world.

From there, we return to the Quy Nhon-Pleiku expressway. This high-quality transport project connecting the sea and the forest with an investment capital of more than 43,700 billion VND, expected to be implemented at the end of 2025, will be a breakthrough, opening up opportunities for diverse social development in many fields.

With highways for faster connections, two wide-open views of Quy Nhon and Pleiku cities to look to the future, forests and seas to provide specialties and tourism, the (new) Gia Lai province will mobilize new creative potential for development.

Binh Dinh and Gia Lai are two large provinces, each with its own advantages. When merged, they will blend and enhance those advantages, complementing each other to become a very large province among 34 provinces and cities in the country.

When I mentioned heritage above, I only mentioned Bài Chòi and Tuồng, not yet mentioning the heritage of gongs and gongs, which has an idea. I imagine that in the future, when the sound of the drums and the melodious sounds of Bài Chòi from the sea resounds on the plateau in the west of the province, won’t the solemn and dignified gongs and gongs harmonize and create a grand space connecting cultures…

Just think about it, how many places can sing in harmony like that?
