At the Conference, leaders of the Ministry of Construction (the standing agency of the Steering Committee) reported specifically on the results of the implementation of assigned tasks, clearly pointing out the existing problems, obstacles and difficulties; clearly proposing measures for implementation in the coming time, especially projects that must be completed by 2025. Leaders of ministries and branches who are members of the Steering Committee reported on the implementation of assigned tasks. Localities focused on reporting on the handover of land, relocation of technical infrastructure; and the construction status of projects.

Thai Nguyen province has 2 key transport projects being implemented (under the management of the State Steering Committee for important national projects and works, key to the Transport sector):

The Ho Chi Minh Road construction project, Cho Chu - Trung Son Intersection, starts at Cho Chu, Dinh Hoa Commune (Thai Nguyen Province), ends at Trung Son Commune (Tuyen Quang Province), with a total length of nearly 29km, of which 12.24km passes through the province. The route is designed according to the standards of a grade III mountainous road, with a total investment of VND 1,665 billion, and is expected to be completed in 2025. To date, the entire land area in the province has been handed over to the investor and the construction unit, creating favorable conditions to speed up the project's progress.

The Cho Moi - Bac Kan route investment project has a total length of 28.8km, passing through Thanh Thinh, Thanh Mai communes and Bac Kan ward. With a total investment of more than 5,750 billion VND, the project started in March 2025 and was completed in 2026. To date, the land area handed over has reached more than 68%, equivalent to 24.5km of the route length.

In parallel, the province is implementing the construction of two resettlement areas in Thanh Thinh and Thanh Mai communes. The design consultant has been selected and construction drawings have been prepared for appraisal and approval.

Concluding the Conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: After the 19th session, many important results have been achieved, we have completed an additional 208km of highway (bringing the total to 2,476km); started a number of key projects; successfully organized hundreds of inauguration and groundbreaking events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day; presented mechanisms and policies to remove difficulties in implementing the Law on Geology and Minerals.

The Prime Minister highly appreciated the efforts of ministries, sectors, localities and the consensus and joint efforts of the people. However, many localities (Quang Tri, Quang Ngai, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Dong Nai, Tuyen Quang, Lang Son) have not completed site clearance; the progress of increasing construction output, deploying rest stops, and smart traffic systems is still slow.

The Prime Minister stated: The key goal by the end of 2025 is to complete 3,000km of expressways, 1,700km of coastal roads, and basically complete Long Thanh International Airport. This is an important foundation to achieve growth of 8.3-8.5% in 2025, creating momentum for the following period to achieve double-digit growth.

The Prime Minister requested ministries, branches and localities to focus on mobilizing resources, carry out construction “more quickly, boldly and effectively”; organize 3 shifts, 4 teams, take advantage of nights and holidays. Strictly implement decentralization, delegation of authority, ensure “6 clear” and “3 easy”; implement projects in the spirit of “3 yes” (interests of the State, people, enterprises) and “2 no” (no corruption, no loss).

Along with that, ministries, branches and localities must be proactive, creative, dare to think, dare to do, and not rely on others; large enterprises support small enterprises; encourage emulation movements, timely rewards, and strict discipline. Focus on reviewing material needs, handing over all sites no later than September 2025; starting and expanding many important highway and connecting route projects.

The Prime Minister emphasized: We must uphold determination, solidarity, promote the strength of the entire political system, and the consensus of the people to ensure progress, quality, safety, and soon put the project into operation, opening up new development space for the country.
