With two weeks of training at Borussia Dortmund and Werder Bremen, the program promises to give young players a valuable opportunity to compete, learn and develop in the most modern football environment in Europe.
Head coach Okiyama Masahiko (Japan) said this trip aims at three important goals: “The first is to learn from world- class football through matches.
The second is to experience foreign culture, customs, and climate as well as adapt to long tours with time zone differences to become strong players. Finally, actively participate in international exchanges, make friends, and exchange knowledge with many players from different football backgrounds."
The Japanese coach also emphasized that overseas tours, especially in Europe with time zone differences, when the players are young and have the ability to adapt quickly, will bring invaluable experience.
This is also a great opportunity for them to experience world-class football first-hand in Germany, thereby growing significantly as national team players.
The Japanese coach also sent a message: "In football as well as in life, proactively accepting challenges and being ready to experience both failure and success will help each player gradually achieve maturity."
With enthusiastic support from the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Vietnam, the team members have been granted visas and are ready to begin their promising journey.
The training trip in Germany is not only an important stepping stone to help the Vietnamese U17 female players improve their professional skills, but also an opportunity for them to build team spirit, confidence and the ability to compete in the international arena, contributing to the sustainable development of Vietnamese women's football in the near future.
