Recently, Hanoi University of Culture issued a warning about money scams targeting new students.
Specifically, after new students enrolled, some scammers took advantage of the school's name to infiltrate groups of classes and departments to collect money for uniforms from students and new students. In addition to uniforms, the school warned that students could be scammed for other expenses.
Currently, there are students who have transferred money and been scammed.

Faced with this situation, Hanoi University of Culture requires students, especially new students, to be vigilant against the above fraudulent acts to avoid loss of property.
"The Department of Political Affairs and Student Management has received denunciations from students and is coordinating with relevant authorities to monitor and prevent them," the school informed.

The School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) also issued a similar warning.
According to the school's records, some people left comments on social networking sites and groups related to the school, then lured students into chat groups, sent fake links, and requested illegal money transfers.
The school confirms that the School Union has stopped registering for uniforms after the school year starts on September 6-7, 2025. The registration for physical uniforms will be carried out directly through the class committee. In addition, there will be no other valid information channels, links or registration forms.
The Faculty of Interdisciplinary Science and Arts also emphasized that students should only join class groups created by lecturers or class committees, and should be cautious when receiving strange emails, messages or texts. Any suspicions can be captured and sent to the class group or the school's fanpage for verification.
At the Academy of Finance , new students are also warned about the appearance of fake links, impersonating the school to call for registration and payment of uniform fees via online forms.
The school emphasized that this is a fraudulent act aimed at appropriating students' personal information and assets. At the same time, the school affirmed that it does not collect money or issue uniform registration links through unofficial pages or groups. All related information will only be published on the academy's official fanpage and website.
From the above information, the Academy of Finance recommends that students, especially new students of K63, absolutely do not access strange links, do not provide personal information and do not transfer money without confirmation from the official channel. Each student also needs to be alert, vigilant and proactive in verifying information to avoid becoming a victim of scams.
Since late August, the Academy of Journalism and Propaganda has also had to warn about this scam.
According to the school's records, some people have formed a group, asking new students to transfer 300,000 VND via the uniform registration link.
The school affirms that it has no policy to sell or collect money for uniforms in the above manner. This is a scam and there have been cases of new students falling into the trap and transferring money to the fake group.
The Academy of Journalism and Communication emphasizes that all official information is only published on the official fanpage and website. The school recommends that new students be absolutely vigilant, not provide personal information, and not transfer money to any links or individuals of unknown origin.
