Recently, many parents in Quang Ninh province are concerned about the difficulties their children will face in studying when the province has a policy of merging schools.

Some parents worry that after the school merger, their children's education will be disrupted, such as the distance to school being longer and the learning environment changing.

Regarding this issue, a leader of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ninh province said that the policy of arranging schools in the area is implemented according to the 2-level government. This is to suit the work of reviewing, streamlining the apparatus effectively, better management, and saving investment resources in the education sector.

According to the leader of this Department, the review is being assigned to the localities, then the results will be sent to the Department of Education and Training for synthesis and reporting to the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Party Committee. Therefore, there is currently no specific number on how many schools will be subject to merger.

During the review process by localities, some schools after the merger will exceed the number of classes as prescribed by the circular of the Ministry of Education and Training. The Department of Education and Training is coordinating with the Ministry to see if this is allowed and how to handle the above cases.

"The merger will follow the regulations of each level of education, specifically, preschools will have a maximum of 30 classes, primary schools will have 40 classes, secondary schools will have 45 classes and high schools will have 50 classes. After the merger, students will still study at the school they previously attended," said the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ninh province.

Mr. Trinh Dinh Hai, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ninh province, explained that the school merger is to rearrange the educational facilities and does not affect the students. Students will still study where they study. This is only to merge the educational facilities to ensure the scale and number of classes according to regulations.

"Current schools that do not have enough classes due to regional characteristics will merge the educational institutions. That means only reducing the leadership apparatus, but teachers will still work at that school, and students will still study at that school. Merging educational institutions will help commune-level officials and the Department of Culture and Society reduce the number of institutions for better management. This trend will be inevitable, it is impossible to let a few classes be the same school," said Mr. Hai.

Ho Chi Minh City schools do not teach official programs on Saturdays. Mr. Nguyen Bao Quoc, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, said that the 7-period/day teaching schedule for 2 sessions is regulated to ensure the implementation of the 2018 General Education Program. However, schools can flexibly arrange their schedules, with some days having more than 7 periods.
29 schools in Ho Chi Minh City have the right to recruit teachers according to the school's development strategy.
Silently watching the school collapse, the principal apologizes to the students . Storm No. 5 raged for hours, causing 13 classrooms at Son Loc Secondary School, Ha Tinh to collapse and lose their roofs. Mr. Hoang The Anh, the school's principal, apologized to the students because this incident caused them to not be able to go to school as early as planned.
