(gialai.gov.vn) – Joining the joyful atmosphere of the whole country welcoming the new school year, on the morning of September 5, Phuoc Son Secondary School No. 1 solemnly held the opening ceremony of the new school year 2025-2026. Comrade Nguyen Tuan Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended the ceremony. Also attending were representatives of the Department of Education and Training; leaders of Tuy Phuoc Dong commune; the School Board of Directors and more than 870 students of the whole school.

The opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year is held very specially. This year, in addition to the opening ceremony of each school, for the first time in history, nearly 1.7 million teachers and 30 million students nationwide will participate in the opening ceremony combined with the 80th anniversary celebration of the education sector organized by the Ministry of Education and Training .

Students eagerly return to school

In his speech welcoming the new school year, the Principal of Phuoc Son Secondary School No. 1 said that in the 2024-2025 school year, teachers and students of the school have made great efforts, constantly innovated management work, effectively implemented teaching and learning activities and emulation movements of the industry. The school always maintains and improves the quality of both educational aspects. In the past school year, the number of students with Good and Excellent academic performance reached 58.7%; the secondary school graduation rate reached 100%; the quality of the entrance exam to grade 10 at Nguyen Dieu High School was above average and there were students who achieved the highest score in the entrance exam to the school.

Permanent Vice President Nguyen Tuan Thanh awarded 10 Nay Der Foundation scholarships to 10 students with outstanding academic achievements.

In addition, the quality of the key training of excellent students in culture achieved 40 prizes (of which excellent students at the provincial level achieved 02 prizes, excellent students at the district level achieved 38 prizes), the quality of the prizes is increasingly improved (in 38 district-level prizes, there are 02 first prizes, 03 second prizes, 13 third prizes and 10 consolation prizes).

The Principal of Phuoc Son Secondary School No. 1 affirmed that the above outstanding achievements were thanks to the continuous efforts of teachers and students. Entering the new school year, the Principal hopes that teachers and students will continue to promote the results achieved in the previous school year, and at the same time strive even harder to achieve higher achievements in both general quality and key movements of the school.

On this occasion, Nay Der Scholarship Fund awarded 10 scholarships to 10 students with outstanding academic achievements; Tuy Phuoc Dong Commune Women's Union presented 2 bicycles to 2 students with difficult circumstances; a number of businesses in the province also awarded new school year scholarships and many gifts to students with difficult circumstances with excellent academic achievements./.
