Trump booed at US Open final

Donald Trump's appearance at the 2025 US Open men's singles final has sparked mixed reactions.

According to The Guardian , when the big screens at Arthur Ashe Stadium showed Mr. Trump standing for the national anthem before the match, there was a burst of applause but it was quickly drowned out by boos.

The US President then responded with a fleeting smile. After Mr. Trump's image reappeared on the big screen, the boos from the audience continued to ring out longer. However, Mr. Trump remained calm and continued to watch the match in the VIP area, alongside members of the government and family.

The US President arrived at the stadium more than an hour before the match between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner began. His presence also caused significant disruption. Due to strict security measures, thousands of spectators had to wait in line for quite a long time to enter the stadium. This is also the first time Mr. Trump has returned to the US Open since 2015.

Before the match, Carlos Alcaraz admitted that it was an honor to play the US Open final with the US President as a witness. The 2025 US Open final ended with an impressive victory for Alcaraz. He defeated Jannik Sinner with a score of 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 to win the sixth Grand Slam of his career.
