The 6th National Party Congress outlined the comprehensive, profound and thorough renovation policy, reflected in the following issues: The Congress accepted commodity production, recognized the market economy; formed a socialist economic accounting management mechanism; innovated social, defense, security, foreign affairs and Party building policies.

The Renovation policy is the crystallization of the Party and the entire people's wisdom and also demonstrates the Party's high sense of responsibility towards the history of the country and the people.
