Man City 3-0 Man Utd: 'Red Devils' collapse

Right from the 30th second of the derby, Erling Haaland warned the MU defense with a dangerous shot that missed the goal by a hair.

In the 16th minute, from a cross from the left wing, MU had an answer. Amad Diallo flew to shoot but missed the center of the ball. Just two minutes after the visitors' miss, Jeremy Doku had an impressive breakthrough, passing 3 red shirts before passing the ball to Phil Foden for a tricky header, opening the score for Man City.

Faced with the home team's pressing ability, MU not only had difficulty keeping the ball but also lost control of simple situations such as throw-ins. After the whistle to start the second half, MU pushed up the formation but before they could create any notable moves, their net shook for the second time in the 52nd minute. It was Doku again with a shield and then an accurate pass for Haaland to escape and finish past Altay Bayindir. MU's defense collapsed after the second goal. In the 56th minute, Haaland dribbled past goalkeeper Bayindir but hit the post.

It wasn't until the 61st minute that MU had a truly dangerous opportunity. Mbeumo forced Donnarumma to show all his skills to block a volley in the penalty area, sending the ball towards the far corner of the goal.

Hope had just flashed for MU fans but was extinguished by Luke Shaw with a mistake in the 69th minute. The 1995-born defender's bad pass created an opportunity for Haaland to comfortably escape, before completing his double with a simple left-footed shot. Shaw was at fault for all 3 goals MU conceded in this match. Before that, the former Southampton player was easily defeated in a one-on-one dispute with Doku and Haaland.
