Launching a creative playground: Drawing contest 'My dream schoolyard'

On the morning of September 12, at Nguyen Viet Xuan Primary School (Hanoi), the Electronic Magazine Environment and Life officially launched the second Environmental Protection Painting Contest in Schools with the theme "My Dream Schoolyard".

Following the success of the first environmental protection painting contest in schools with the theme “Green School”, organized by the Electronic Magazine of Environment and Life, attracting a large number of students to participate and respond, strongly spreading the message of love for nature and environmental protection awareness among the young generation.

Mr. Nguyen Van Toan - Vice President of Vietnam Water and Environment Association, Editor-in-Chief of Environment and Life Electronic Magazine, Head of the Organizing Committee spoke at the launching ceremony.

This year’s contest, themed “My Dream Schoolyard,” provides students with an opportunity to express their imagination and love for school through colorful paintings. Not only is it an artistic playground, the contest also helps students express their aspirations for a green, clean, and friendly learning environment, nurturing awareness of protecting nature right from school.

At the launching ceremony, promoting the spirit of mutual love, the Electronic Magazine of Environment and Life presented 10 gifts of 10 bicycles to disadvantaged students with good academic achievements in Yen Hoa ward.

These meaningful gifts create more joy and motivation for children to actively strive to excel in their studies and life, partly sharing the burden of worries in the new school year of families. These gifts are taken from the Fund for the Environment of the Electronic Magazine Environment and Life and are accompanied by Thuan Thanh Environmental Joint Stock Company.

CONTEST INFORMATION

The contest is open to children aged 6-10 on a voluntary basis and is free to enter. The contest is expected to be divided into 3 rounds: Receiving entries, Preliminary round and Final round.

Round 1 - Submission period from September 12, 2025 to December 10, 2025. Round 2 - Preliminary round from December 11, 2025 to December 15, 2025. Round 3 - Final round from December 18, 2025 to December 21, 2025.

In particular, to encourage the spirit of students participating in the contest, the total prize value of the contest is up to over 100 million VND . Specifically: 07 First prizes: Each prize is 05 million VND; 10 Second prizes: Each prize is 03 million VND; 15 Third prizes: Each prize is 02 million VND; 20 Fourth prizes: Each prize is 1 million VND. In addition, 50 Promising prizes, 50 Talent prizes, 50 Passion prizes (Each prize receives a Certificate and gifts from the Organizing Committee).

The winning works will be awarded by the Organizing Committee, displayed in Hanoi and used for environmental protection propaganda. The winning paintings will be selected for awards and exhibition scheduled for the end of December 2025.

Contest entries should be sent directly to the Editorial Office of the Electronic Magazine Environment and Life, Room 209, Building B3D, Mac Thai To Street, Yen Hoa Ward, Hanoi.
