Ho Chi Minh City audiences brave the rain to watch an art program celebrating National Day

At the Saigon Ward bridge point, Ho Chi Minh City, despite the heavy rain, the audience still braved the rain to sing along with the artists, creating warm moments for the program.

On the evening of September 2, the Independent Starlight art program was organized by the Organizing Committee for the celebration of major holidays in Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with the Department of Culture - Sports of Ho Chi Minh City and Ho Chi Minh City Television to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

The program was broadcast live, connected online from three points: Saigon ward, Binh Duong ward, Vung Tau ward in Ho Chi Minh City.

The impressive highlight of the Independent Starlight art program is the blend of modern technology and traditional art essence, creating a performance space that is both grand and emotional.

Right from the opening, the audience was treated to a laser light show, mapping combined with traditional music, as an affirmation: history and present always go hand in hand in the nation's progress.

The performance of Beautiful Vietnam - New Vietnam by Hien Thuc and Ho Trung Dung near the end of the program received a lot of response from the audience. This was followed by a laser mapping performance on music, with images of the administrative map of Vietnam with 34 provinces and cities, including Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos. The performance ended with the new administrative map of Ho Chi Minh City, 3 localities blending together.

After the medley Proud Melody - Big Hands Together with the choir, the special art program Independent Starlight ended at 9:00 p.m. with a brilliant fireworks display.

The Independent Star Art TV Bridge recreates the nation's aspirations for independence and freedom through emotional film and music. On the 50th anniversary of liberation, the program marks a historical turning point when Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau join the general development flow of Ho Chi Minh City, expressing the belief and aspiration for a modern, dynamic city named after Uncle Ho.
