Speaking at the announcement of the establishment decision, Mr. Nguyen Tan Phong, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association, said that in Ho Chi Minh City, the force of reporters, editors, and collaborators participating in writing and working in the industry and trade sector is the majority. However, there is still no specialized reporter club in this field.

Therefore, according to Mr. Phong, the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association decided to establish the Industry and Trade Reporters Club, to create conditions for reporters, editors, and collaborators in the industry and trade sector to meet, exchange experiences, and support each other in professional work with domestic and international colleagues.

Also at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Hoan, Chairman of the Industry and Trade Reporters Club, said that from now until June 2024, the Club's Board of Directors will have 5 activities including introducing and recruiting reporters as members; promoting propaganda about the industry and trade sector; coordinating with the Department of Industry and Trade to organize a writing contest about the industry; organizing thematic activities, updating information and knowledge about the industry for reporters; organizing field trips to businesses in the industry.

Mr. Le Huynh Minh Tu, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, hopes that after its establishment, the Industry and Trade Reporters Club will continue to provide information support to the industry as well as businesses for better development.
