At the meeting, representatives of the provincial Literature and Arts Association reviewed the 100-year journey of Vietnam Revolutionary Press and reported on the activities of Song Chau Magazine. Song Chau Magazine is one of the two press agencies of the province (along with Ha Nam Newspaper). The magazine published its first issue right from the early days of the province's re-establishment (January 1997). It is a magazine for creative writing, theoretical research, criticism, and information on literature and arts of the Ha Nam Provincial Literature and Arts Association. After more than 28 years of operation, the magazine has published 168 issues (the magazine is published every 2 months) with a circulation of nearly 5,000 copies at its peak. The magazine has published nearly 3,000 poems, 1,000 short stories, novel excerpts, 200 stage scripts, 400 pieces of music, hundreds of photography and fine art works, more than 500 research articles, collections, and literary and artistic criticism theories...
At the meeting, many writers and poets, former Editors-in-Chief and Deputy Editors-in-Chief of Song Chau Magazine through the periods, shared their emotional stories about the development process of Song Chau Magazine from the re-establishment of the province in 1997 to the present.
On behalf of the leaders of the Literature and Arts Association, Painter Nguyen Ngan, Chairman of the Association, thanked and expressed gratitude to generations of leaders, Editorial Board, reporters, editors, and collaborators over the years who have contributed to the development of the magazine. The magazine has operated in accordance with its principles and purposes, as a place to support, introduce, and disseminate literary and artistic works, so that the works can reach the public more quickly and more closely. The magazine has become a spiritual food for many people who love literature and arts.
