Enforced land acquisition for the project to upgrade National Highway 8C in Huong Son
(Baohatinh.vn) - Refusing to hand over the site to the construction unit, a household in Ninh Xa village, Son Ninh commune, Huong Son district (Ha Tinh) had its land forcibly confiscated by the authorities.

On the morning of June 27, Huong Son district forcibly recovered residential land from Ms. Ho Thi Xanh's household in Ninh Xa village, Son Ninh commune to serve the project of upgrading National Highway 8C. The recovered area is 310.8m2 , of which 36.8m2 is residential land, the rest is agricultural land for perennial crops of Ms. Nguyen Thi Xanh - Mr. Le Trung Tao's household in Ninh Xa village. During the site clearance process, the People's Committee of Huong Son district directed the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and mass organizations, commune and district authorities to propagate and mobilize many times, but this household still did not cooperate and hand over the land to implement the project.
The enforcement according to Decision No. 2547/QD-UBND dated June 20, 2025 of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Huong Son district was carried out to ensure legal procedures, political security and order in the area. This morning, the construction unit received the site to implement the project.
The project to upgrade National Highway 8C through 5 communes of Huong Son district: An Hoa Thinh, Tan My Ha, My Long, Son Trung, Son Ninh, has a length of 16.7km. Implementing the land clearance work for the project to upgrade National Highway 8C, Huong Son district has completed 100% of the compensation and support work for more than 2,250 households, handing over the site to the construction unit for 16.7km/16.7km of construction according to the set schedule.
