Pham Quang Huy and his wife, from Hung Yen province, are working in a company in Trang Due industrial park. Working far from home, to save money and send money back to their hometown to raise their young children, Huy and his wife rent a small room of less than 10 square meters. Every day, in addition to meals at the company, the couple cooks simple, economical meals. Despite the difficulties, recently, when the Vietnam Red Cross launched a program to support the Cuban people, Huy and his wife did not hesitate to open their phones, go to the app and transfer a relatively large amount of support money compared to their daily income.

“As workers, my wife and I understand the difficulties of others. I think that if we don’t have much, we should share with the spirit of “A little helps a lot”. Not only this time, but in life, my wife and I always support and help colleagues in trouble when the company’s Union launches it,” Huy said.

Recently, many grassroots trade unions in local enterprises have carried out fundraising activities to support workers in difficult circumstances, illness, and misfortune. Specifically, at the following LLCs: Tinh Loi Garment, Makalot Vietnam, Nissei Technology Vietnam, Continuance Shoes Vietnam... Each time they launched, the grassroots trade unions received significant support from the collective of workers and laborers.

As in the case of Ms. Cao Thi The, a worker at Makalot Vietnam Garment Company Limited (Ha Tay Commune), who encountered a major incident at the end of July 2025. Her entire family unfortunately had a serious traffic accident and had to be hospitalized. Unfortunately, the eldest daughter of this female worker did not survive. In the midst of the difficult situation, the Union of the company where Ms. The worked sent a letter calling for support from the Board of Directors, the Union and the collective of employees in the company.

In response to that call, most of the employees in the company shared and demonstrated the spirit of "Mutual Love". As a result, the company's Union mobilized more than 150 million VND to support Ms. Cao Thi The. That timely care and support helped Ms. The's family ease the pain, and was a great spiritual support for her family to soon overcome the incident and stabilize their lives.

Keep up the charity journey

The Sao Vang Heart Charity Club is a special charity club in Hai Phong city, because it was founded by workers of Tinh Loi Garment Company Limited and maintains a long-lasting charitable journey. In 2017, Mr. Hoang Tung and some workers in the company founded the club. Initially, they mainly called for support for workers in difficulty in the company. After that, the club expanded its activities, giving gifts to the poor on Tet holiday and children in the highlands.

Up to now, the Golden Star Heart Charity Club has organized 5 charity programs "Lighting up dreams", giving gifts to schools and children in mountainous areas in the provinces: Ha Giang , Dien Bien, Lai Chau. According to Mr. Hoang Tung, the club's chairman, each program calls for and mobilizes many essential items to send to schools and students. The total value of the 5 charity programs is up to about 373 million VND.

Not only the Sao Vang Heart Charity Club of workers of Tinh Loi Garment Company Limited, in other enterprises, the movement of workers helping each other overcome difficulties and life events is also worthy of praise and replication. Mr. Do Van Sanh, Head of the Women's Propaganda Department (City Labor Federation) informed that recently, many grassroots unions in Hai Phong have regularly maintained activities to support workers in difficult circumstances, illness, and sudden accidents. These activities have received positive contributions from union members and workers in enterprises and units with the spirit of "Mutual love and support".

It can be seen that, despite their limited income and difficult life, workers do not wait until they have enough to give, but are still willing to share and help those in need with all their kindness. These actions, though quiet and simple, have profound human values, contributing to spreading love and uniting the community.
