People are the root, endogenous strength

This draft Political Report thoroughly grasps the viewpoint that “people are the root”, requires promoting democracy at the grassroots level, ensuring people’s participation in policy making and criticism according to the principle of “people know, people do, people discuss, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit”. That has become a lesson learned in the revolution. Uncle Ho once advised: “It is easy to endure a hundred times without people, but difficult to overcome with people”.

In the 2020-2025 term, An Giang organized hundreds of direct dialogues between Party committees, authorities and the people. Many urgent recommendations were resolved on the spot, increasing people's trust in the political system. The "Skillful mass mobilization" movements went into depth, contributing to maintaining social stability and promoting socio-economic development.

The draft Political Report also requires improving the effectiveness of propaganda and mass mobilization to arouse the people's aspirations for development, intelligence and responsibility; encouraging people to contribute ideas to build the Party and government; promoting the role of supervision and social criticism of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations. In particular, applying information technology to collect public opinions, develop digital government, improve transparency and accountability is a direction suitable for the digital age, helping people's voices reach quickly and be resolved promptly.

Looking back at reality, wherever the government truly “respects the people, is close to the people, understands the people, learns from the people, and is for the people”, there the movement is strong and people’s lives improve. This is vivid proof that endogenous strength originates from the people’s trust and consensus with the Party.

Connecting hearts, awakening aspirations

An Giang is a multi-ethnic, multi-religious province with a rich cultural identity. The draft Political Report clearly defines the task of respecting cultural diversity, ensuring equality among ethnic groups, and listening to and promptly resolving legitimate petitions from the people. It is not only a principle of treatment, but also a way to create a consensual environment so that all people, whether in the plains or in the mountains, whether Kinh, Khmer, Cham or Chinese, feel that they are part of the journey to build their province.

In recent years, the role of prestigious people, intellectuals, religious dignitaries and overseas Vietnamese in An Giang has been strongly promoted in advocacy and propaganda work. From mobilizing social resources to build bridges and roads in remote areas, to preserving cultural heritage or developing community tourism, all rely on the spirit of solidarity and unity.

The draft Political Report also emphasizes the motto of action "An Giang - One vision - One action - One belief". This is a political slogan and also a commitment between the Party, the State, businesses and the People with the same goal. The goal by 2030 is for An Giang to become a fairly developed province of the country, with a strong marine economy, synchronous infrastructure, tourism and processing industry becoming national brands. This is a destination that cannot be achieved without the support of the people. Uncle Ho taught: "Whatever is beneficial to the people must be done with all our might, whatever is harmful to the people must be avoided with all our might". When all decisions of the province are measured by the benefit of the people, the great solidarity bloc will be strong, and the people's strength will become the decisive force for An Giang to break through in the new era.

In short, promoting the strength of great solidarity is both a slogan, a way of life and a motto that has led to all victories of the Vietnamese revolution. For An Giang, this lesson is even clearer, because it is the consensus of the people that has helped the province overcome difficulties and turn challenges into opportunities. The draft Political Report affirms that the aspiration for development is closely linked to the people's strength and trust. General Secretary To Lam emphasized: "Great national solidarity is the source of strength, the main driving force and the decisive factor for victory". Great solidarity is a long-term cause. When the people believe and support, all policies of the Party become practical actions; on the contrary, without consensus, it is difficult to succeed. Therefore, putting the interests of the people first is the highest measure of leadership capacity.

An Giang is entering a new phase with the aspiration to become a fairly developed province by 2030. That journey belongs to the entire people. When “the Party’s will matches the people’s will”, that strength will help An Giang make a breakthrough and rise strongly in the era of integration and development.
