On September 15, An Giang Province Social Insurance said that recently, there has been a phenomenon of subjects claiming to be Social Insurance employees calling retired officials to commit fraudulent acts, such as asking them to come to the office to update information, then they use the excuse that the office is crowded and instruct them to contact another person to install strange software on the phone. The ultimate goal is to steal personal information, bank accounts, and thereby appropriate property.

The provincial Social Insurance recommends that people need to be extremely vigilant, absolutely do not access strange links, do not provide OTP codes, bank passwords or any personal information to anyone.

To ensure safety, people only conduct transactions with the Social Security agency through the following official channels: National public service portal at the address ; Vietnam Social Security public service portal; VssID application; An Giang Social Security Fanpage ; OA Zalo: An Giang Provincial Social Security; or Vietnam Social Security switchboard: 1900 9068.
