During the Tet holiday, customers deposited 30.87 billion VND in cash into their accounts and made savings through new generation ATMs.

According to statistics from the State Bank of Vietnam, Quang Tri branch, the province currently has 121 ATMs, of which 15 are new generation ATMs with CDM and CRM functions (functioning as an electronic banking teller, meeting customers' 24/7 transaction needs). In addition to the features of regular ATMs, these 15 machines also have the outstanding advantage of transferring cash into accounts and making savings deposits through the machine similar to transactions at the counter. Thanks to that, during the Lunar New Year holidays, this new generation ATM system received 4,665 deposits from customers with an amount of 30.87 billion VND.

Accordingly, customers do not need to go to the bank's branch or transaction office but can still open a savings account through an ATM. Depositing savings through an ATM is simple, convenient and saves a lot of time.

The steps to deposit money via ATM are as follows: The customer inserts the card into the slot and enters the password; selects to deposit money into the account on the ATM screen; inserts money into the slot below the screen horizontally, chooses whether to print a receipt or not and receives the card back; the machine counts the money and displays a confirmation screen.

The machine will notify the customer that the cash deposit has been successful, how much money is in the account, then ask the customer if they want to make another transaction. If not, it will notify the end of the transaction and return the card to the customer. The accepted denominations are 50 thousand VND, 100 thousand VND, 200 thousand VND and 500 thousand VND and each transaction can deposit up to 200 notes/time.
