
Sharing about his journey of more than 10 years of voluntary blood donation, Senior Lieutenant Do Manh Hung said that he first donated blood in 2014, when he was a first-year student at People's Security College 1. After that, he regularly donated blood 1-2 times a year.
After graduating, despite his busy professional work, when the Red Cross and the police launched blood donation campaigns, Mr. Hung actively participated. Feeling the joy and happiness of reaching the message "A drop of blood given, a life saved", Lieutenant Hung also registered with the medical facility in Tu Ky district (formerly) to be ready to donate blood when requested.
The most memorable memory of Senior Lieutenant Hung was in mid-March 2025, when he was at his unit and received a phone call from Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, President of the Red Cross Society of Tu Ky District (formerly) informing him about a critical case being treated at a medical facility that needed an urgent blood transfusion. Without thinking much, Mr. Hung quickly went to the blood donation site, contributing to saving the patient in time.
In addition to actively participating in blood donation, Mr. Hung is also an active propagandist, spreading and mobilizing many people to respond to this noble gesture. To date, he has mobilized more than 150 youth union members to participate in voluntary blood donation.
After graduating with the title of “Excellent Student of the Course” from the People's Security College 1, he was assigned to work at the Security Team, Tu Ky District Police (formerly). In December 2019, when there was a policy from the Ministry of Public Security on arranging and sending regular police to commune police, Mr. Do Manh Hung was not afraid of difficulties and volunteered to work in a remote and difficult commune in Tu Ky District (formerly).
During storm No. 3 (Yagi) in September 2024, Mr. Hung did not hesitate to work day and night, heavy rain and strong wind, directly participating in supporting and bringing the elderly and children living outside the Thai Binh River dike to a safe evacuation site.

In 2025, when he was transferred to work at the Chi Minh Commune Police, Senior Lieutenant Hung was assigned to the task of a local police officer in charge of 4 villages. Directly in the area, close to the people, Mr. Hung understood the difficulties of poor students here, so he tried to be a bridge with benefactors.
Entering the 2025-2026 school year, Mr. Hung mobilized and connected with businesses to give 12 gifts to disadvantaged students in the commune with a total amount of 3.6 million VND. He also actively advised the Commune Police Youth Union and the Chi Minh Commune Youth Union to give gifts to disadvantaged families on the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
In August 2025, Mr. Hung received a report from the people that Ms. L., a local citizen, had run away from home and showed signs of mental illness. Mr. Hung reported to the commune police commander and coordinated with the security and order protection force at the grassroots level in the villages to search and search the entire area and surrounding areas. On the same day, the commune police and security and order protection force at the grassroots level found Ms. L. in the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway service area and informed the family to bring Ms. L. home safely. Touched by the above actions, Ms. L.'s family wrote a letter of thanks to the Chi Minh Commune Police force, including Senior Lieutenant Hung.
With the above achievements, Senior Lieutenant Hung has been awarded certificates of merit and certificates of merit by all levels and sectors of the police for many years for his achievements in performing his duties and participating in humanitarian blood donation. In 2024, Mr. Hung was awarded the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level by the Director of Hai Duong Provincial Police (formerly). In 2025, he was recognized as a typical and advanced individual in the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2020 - 2025 of Chi Minh commune.
