Spreading the spirit of health to build and protect the Fatherland

VHO - On the morning of September 14, Quang Tri Provincial Police organized the Marathon "80 years of Quang Tri Provincial Police - Marks of a journey". This is a meaningful activity, affirming the strength of military-civilian solidarity, while promoting the movement of physical training and improving health to serve the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

The Marathon is part of a series of events celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2, the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Forces and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection. With that spirit, the event not only has a sporting mark but also contributes to spreading the message "Healthy to protect the Fatherland, healthy to build the country".

Colonel Nguyen Tien Hoang Anh, Deputy Director of Quang Tri Provincial Police, hopes that the marathon movement will help each officer and soldier increase their will to practice and live healthily to serve the people, while creating a bridge for people inside and outside the province to join and accompany the police force.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Tien Hoang Anh - Deputy Director of Quang Tri Provincial Police emphasized: "Organizing the tournament is not only a simple sports activity but also demonstrates the strong solidarity between the police force and all classes of people; expressing the determination to overcome difficulties, maintain health, and move towards sustainable development in the new era. The marathon movement helps each officer and soldier to have more will to practice, live healthy to serve the people, and at the same time create a bridge for people inside and outside the province to join and accompany the police force."

This year’s tournament gathered more than 1,000 athletes, including police officers and soldiers, and many independent athletes from inside and outside the province. The exciting atmosphere turned the race into a real festival, where everyone came together to spread the spirit of training and improving health.

Mr. Nguyen Minh, an athlete from Hanoi, shared: “This is the first time I have participated in a marathon organized by the police force. I am impressed by the professional organization and the enthusiastic cheering of the people. Running with the police officers helps us clearly feel the closeness and spirit of serving the community of the force.”

The success of the tournament is not only measured by the energetic running steps but also by the spiritual value it brings. The presence of a large number of people and accompanying units has affirmed the attraction and social influence of the event. This is also an opportunity for the People's Public Security force to affirm its beautiful image in the hearts of the people - soldiers who are both brave in their work and exemplary in the physical training movement.

The Marathon “80 years of Quang Tri Provincial Police – Imprints of a journey” ended in a united and excited atmosphere, leaving behind many memorable moments. Above all, the tournament contributed to igniting the belief and aspiration for a widespread and sustainable sports movement, adding strength to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the new period.
